Anyone here using a "Dyna-Batt Batterie"
Anyone here using a "Dyna-Batt Batterie"
I was thinking of different ways to ruduce the weight of my '93 firebird. Particulary off the front end. I've just put in an order for a BMR kmember and A-arm package. Then I thought about relocating the battery. I came across this:

it only ways 13.5lbs !!! Compared to a stock batterie's 40+lbs that's a huge weight savings. Does anyone here have or know anybody who's running this battery in their car? It seems kind of small and although it is a major weight saving's I still need the battery to be reliable for everday use in a street car with stereo. Can any of you shed some light ? Is it worth the money?
$150 to shed nearly 35lbs off the front end of your car seems pretty good to me. 35lbs is ALOT of weight.

The dynabatt is a re-badged hawker battery that you can get for about $80. Just do a search for hawker battery and you can find where to buy it from. Best non-free weight savings mod I know of as far as $/#.
It supposedly works fine for starting but holds very little charge, so don't run your stereo with the car off or leave the lights on, etc with this battery.
