I was hoping to be...maybe this year though if I get my bugs worked out.

Anyway, setup..
389", 12.1:1 CR, .025 ring gaps, heavily ported heads, basically all bolt-ons, 3500 Vig TQ, 3.73 gear, skinnies, weight reduction,(k-member, most stuff removed)...

To run 10's NA, your doing some serious homework and spending mucho $$$...

Which brings to mind another ?
N/A means air only comes in under atmospheric pressure. N2O doesnt change that, why do we consider N2O motors no longer N/A.

current setup is a 383 with stock LT-4 heads 11.1 compression and the XE 230 236. Im hoping for 12.00 with suspension and slicks on the current setup.

then by next year with some heavy head porting and custom cam (may go with jordan's raised ruinner intake too) I'm hoping for 10.99s If I fall short I may use a small shot to get me in the 10s.

are my goals reasonable?

My buddies 396 ws6 will be there before the end of the year. solid roller, 410s, 6 speed, home ported 220 AFRs. He ran 11.40 @120 something the other day in the heat on easy launch, next launch shattered his 9 inch. Bought a nodular case and will be back shortly. I guess 10.70s on motor, and then ~9.5s on the juice once he kicks it.

Oh ya, car is a PIG. 3800ish with driver

why does it seem so hard for these people with big cubic inch lt1's to get into the tens on motor. i mean you never hear of anyone with 500rwhp on motor. big cubic inch ls1's often have around or over 500rwhp.

could someone explain this to me?

LS1's have 15* heads with 200cc runners... stock. Their combustion chambers are much better designed and so is their intake manifold.
