There is no rear "cam plug"
It's most likely your intake leaking or it could be the rear main seal but I would bet it's the intake.

That plug is behind the cam in its bore and should never touch the cam unless the cam was hit in some way to drive it out.It is like a freeze plug to seal up the cam bore. Now, there are 3 oil galley plugs around that big plug that could be leaking also. Those and the rear main seal are all that is back there in the bell housing. You might check the fitting where the oil pressure sending unit is and the rear of the intake, sometimes these will appear to be something in the bell housing leaking.

Yea I can see the freeze plug you are talking about on my engine's pictures, but I meant there is nothing removable by simple means. I just never heard of cams taking one out on these cars.

Re: anyone hear of this part??

There is a good 1/4" between the cam and this plug when installed right, the only way a cam can hit it is the front locking plate is screwed or the cam was hit to far back in it's hole to drive it out. That plug is a TIGHT fit like a freeze plug,it is not going to come out on it's own. Maybe the cam gear was not installed right and letting the cam have enough end play to get to it???? Maybe the cam gear is not all the way on???? Lord knows what kind of work goes on.
