Anyone have these exact cams? 236/244 or 230/236

A big question is the LSA. What are you using.

Comp Cams 236HL Camshaft 236/244 duration @ .050", .608"/.613" lift with 1.6 rockers. Big cam, big horsepower

Comp Cams 230XH Camshaft 230/236 duration @ .050", .622"/.624" lift with 1.6 rockers. The most powerful mid/high duration Comp Cam available

I read poeple with the same or close duration but what about the 1.6 ratio lift. My engine is in the sig, getting Long tubes on and 3:73 gears as i speak and want to know if the 236/244 is too big. They guy who is working on my car says he has installed a couple on some people and they pass emissions with his tuning and the power is great. He ran off his cams specs to me and they are very close to the 236/244, it seems big to me, i was thinking 230/236, but don't want to wast my time again like i did with the hotcam. Love it but want bigger. Its not a daily driver so.... Worried about the low end power.

look a t the flow numbers on your head and and match the cam. you may just want to get the cam and use 1.5 rr to keep the lift down to .585 lift on the 230/236. and i talk to cmotorsports from what i was told the 236/244 is to big for a stock displacement engine, and the drivability would suck.

unless you had a mile cut off of the head surface and used impy gaskets to raise your compression sky high i would probably go with the smaller cam. and with that lift you're going to be changin springs relatively often. also like said before way too much duration @ .50 for a stock bottom end imho. but then again i'm a small cam guy.
