Anyone have some pics of their spun bearings?

I would like to see if mine look anything like yours maybe. I pulled all my rods and mains and they really didn't look that bad. Pics might be able to tell me about them though. When you did spin one, did you have any type of noise beforehand?

I've seen those ones of Dave's before, mine look nowhere near like that. They are hard to describe over the computer as to what mine look like. I would really like to see some pics if anyone has any of some of their main and rod bearings. My crank looks great and it still has the honed marks on it... but.. one of my mains looks like one of my rod's that were spun from a time before.

If a bearing actually spins, the halves of the bearings will not be locked in by the little tabs on the backs of them.

My bearings hadn't spun yet... but they were thinking about it.

ucnu112... that pic is exactly what one of my mains looks like. expect on my main, those spots are in two places on the one I have. What made you think they were going bad, did you get a noise of any sort? I have the knocking in my now! Shoebox, can it be spun but still have the lock in position on the tab? Maybe as if it is "fixing" to go bad?

I had absolutely no noise or indication that there was anything wrong. All of my bearings had some sort of wear close to what is seen there in that picture. The engine had 133k on it. I was originally going to just install a cam, but when we got it apart and found the wear on the bearings, I went ahead and rebuilt the whole thing. It was just a matter of time before the whole thing went, really.

Well that kind of makes me wonder then if this bearing is still good then. If its not a bering, what else can give that noise from the lower end of the motor?

Anyone else have any thoughts or opinions on this noise?
