Anyone have a flow sheet on non-ported LT-4 heads?

If anyone has this info, I would really appreciate it. GMpartsdirect is selling the LT4 heads for $615/head, fully assembled, so I was looking for a flow sheet to compare them with the AFR heads. thanks a bunch.

Check on www.ws6.com and click on the links section. Go to David Chernicoff's blown t/a all the way at the bottom. On his website there is an interesting comparison between different heads. Hope this helps.

Hmm, about $300 more and you could get a set of heads fully ported and setup for the cam of your choice, where the LT4 heads will come with springs suitable for .525" lift or so only.

Thanks

Thanks guys, that helps a lot. Hey, Doc, could you elaborate more on the $300 statement. Is that per head or per set? Where, and what kind of heads. Thanks. Always looking for the best deal. I only currently have 1200 to spend due to tax return, but I guess I can keep saving if there is a better deal out there.

Scoggin-Dickey has CNC ported LT4 heads "version 2" for $1082 each fully assembled. But they have flow numbers, and I've seen LT1 heads ported to flow more with stock valves even

Per set, you can find head work places for less than that, fully rebuilt, but I have no experience with "budget" head stuff. I payed around $1500 for heads, fully rebuilt, helicoiled (dont leave home without em), etc

Unfortunately all CNC means is they copied a hand port (most likely), or programmed in some info without touching the heads with a hand port job (less likely). I'm sure you knew that, I just want to remind people CNC is nothing to go ga-ga over, CNC can be either great or not so great, on in between more often seems like. I dont think I'd buy LT4s unless I was going to hog the crap out of them, even a budget set of ported LT1 heads would be less expensive, and not require the LT4 intake.

Cams

I found only a cam comparison, but thanks, anyway. I think I like the LT-4 heads. I like the fact that they're factory GM.

It used to be under the dyno results page. The link doesn't work anymore(I just checked). Lucky I copied the info when I first saw it! His stock lt4's flowed, intake/exhaust .100- 56/47 .200-119/102 .300-179/140 .400-218/164 .500-241/176 .600-232/182 Then he had them ported by gtp and got intake/exhaust .100-66.9/56.7 .200-137.5/112 .300-193.5/148.4 .400-236.3/183.7 .500-265.5/198.9 .600-280.2/208.1 These heads were done a couple of years ago. I've heard that people have not been getting good results from gtp recently. Hope this helps a bit. Sorry for the bad link.
