Anyone had any success "home porting" there LT1 castings?
Anyone had any success "home porting" there LT1 castings?
Think I got a leaking head gasket, so the heads are coming off. Since I am going to have them plained, I figure I might want to clean them up a bit myself. I have found some good reading material concerning this, but I just want to know if you guys think it is worth even messing with yourself.
Thanks,
James

a guy i know ported his Stock LT1 heads himself...he said it took about 12-15 hours by hand with a dremel tool...i dont remeber if that was for both or just one!
but that gives you an idea of home porting!

I know it takes time, but that isnt a big issue for me. I just want some cheap power, and I cant bare putting this thing back together stock.
