Anyone Ever Encounter This Problem.

ON MY 96 TA I'VE GOT A REAR TOE-IN PROBLEM ON MY RIGHT REAR TIRE.

WHICH MEANS THAT MY FRONT EDGE OF THE TIRE IS TILTED ON A BIT.

NOW I BELIVE THAT YOU CAN'T ADJUST TOE AT THE REAR WHEELS AND YOU DON'T DO AN ALIGNMENT ON REAR WHEELS BECAUSE IT'S A SOLID AXLE REAR WHEEL DRIVE.

MY ONLY CONCLUSION TO THIS WOULD BE THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER HIT A CURB OR BACKED UP OVER SOMETHING CAUSEING THE REAR AXLE TO EITHER BEND OR MISALIGN.

CAN YOU ADJUST YOUR REAR AXLE?
HAS ANYONE EVER HAD OR SEEN THIS PROBLEM?

I HAVEN'T TAKEN IT TO AN ALIGNMENT SHOP YET BECAUSE IT'S STILL IN STORAGE.

ANY OTHER VICTIMS OF THE PROBLEM OUT THERE.

Nope, can't be adjusted.....the rear axle housings are a solid housing witht he differential. Sounds like the right one is tweaked a little bit....you MIGHT be able to heeat it up and straighten it, but why bother when you can get a complete rear-end for $350 with whatever gear you want already in it....

You had this toe-in problem verified by a shop on a machine?

no by my self. i just finished my apprenticeship in autobody and learned how to do alignments.
My shop doesn't got an alignment machine and I'm not to sure about rear wheel drives because it was never spoken about.

I am assuming you have tire wear or tracking issues that makes you suspect the problem?

The only way to fix this is by heating the axle tubing, it usually changes within .1 or .2 degrees each time the metal shrinks. This is how solid axle rides can run about 1 degree of negative camber and get away with it as there is room for that much play in the differential.

I would research it a bit more if you plan on doing it, otherwise just get a new rear.
