Having this happen about 4 times a year. The belt just shreds, usually on the motor-side of the ribs - one of them will often just tear and cause a fraying action.

Anyone remedy this problem before? The pulleys seem to line up ok. I am having trouble with my A/C compressor's clutch not engaging.
