anyone done this?

Trying to make the Z look REALLY clean and spiffed out, i was thinking of buying some of that sprayable bedliner stuff from Autozone and spraying the bottom of the car, is this even considerable?..probably have to avoid driveshaft and the sort(probably would get unbalanced right?)...i thought it would look ok....thanks Tony

oh and i'm about to install OVC wires...would it be a lot easier to just take the water pump off?

Tony-
The bedliner would work fine- but it is VERY expensive. About $500 for my trucks bed to get sprayed.

I dont know if they can spray over paint. I think they sand down paint (not really an issue for you).

Also- you dont want to heat insulate your transmission or spray the driveshaft. That will unbalance it.

As far as the plugs-
the waterpump is about "in the way" as your spare tire

i appreciate the info..but i have a spray gun and there's a generic brand of spray on bedliner at Autozone that like a pint for like 12 bucks or something and just doing it myself. i know i'd have to degrease everything first but i think it would be worth it..thanks Tony

the spray-on bedliner, i.e. Rhino Lining, I'm not sure about. I know it will stick to just about anything, but I'm not sure how they prep the surface.

For the DIY bedliners like duracolor or Hurculiner, all you need to do to prep the surface is degrease and rough up the paint with a coarse sander. You don't need to strip off all the paint. I did the inner tub of my jeep with some cheap DIY stuff and it's held up for over a year well. It still is nowhere near the abrashion resistance of Rhino Lining.

The best option for undercarriage is an epoxy-based paint with high abrashion resistance. It prevents rust and is very strong. Sherman Williams sells a two-coat two-part epoxy-based primer and a polymer top-coat similar to POR15. It's the stuff they paint bridges with. It's top-notch stuff and a hell of a lot cheaper than POR15.

just a few suggestions
