Anyone Ditched there ASR or TCS?
do a search or ask in the "forced induction forum" since you have to remove or relocate it for most supercharger installs.
it's not as easy as it may seem from what i've read

I ditched mine. Replaced it with a regular throttle cable. You will loose ASR and Cruise for sure. I think you loose ABS too. I lost ABS a while before ASR removal so im not sure on that but I think you may. The ASR and Cruise conltrol boax are under the car by the air filter.
Getting the throttle cable out is a PITA. I just cut around the black plastic on the firewall to get at the plastic clips. The new throttle cabel goes in no problem.

There's a couple of things involved in removing ASR and keeping ABS. I'd like to do that. By looking at the schematic in my Chilton's, the engine bay part (cables, brake lines) doesnt look to hard. The rest of the wireing and what not looks like a pain though. Larnach gave a number to a Chevy parts dealer to call in a previous thread. Do a search for it. I've asked this question about 8 times but no one could really tell me exactly what's involved and how to retain ABS.
I had a different rear end in my car that disabled the ABS so I wasnt concerned about the ABS. I think not sure though if you loose ABS or not. Its been awhile since i did it. I do know you loose cruise and ASR though and about 10 lbs. You gain simplicity and less clutter under the hood.
IMO you dont need ABS in the first place. Only thing you need to do is pull the bulbs in the gauge cluster so it doesnt look like christmas on your dash.
If you cant do it with your feet you shouldnt do it at all. I say go for it and loose the ABS Cruise and ASR and get back to the basics. Its all about going fast and having fun not cruising and letting the car do all the fun work like acclereration control and performance braking.

Performance braking?
The ABS can stop a car faster than any of us non-professional drivers. I disagree about that, but i agree with everything else. It's not as fun.
And about your engine bay, it looks much better than any stock LT1/LT4. Mine will probably never look as nice. But it cant compare to some import sports cars even in stock engine bay form. 350Z comes to mind, BMW's........hell, even a newer corvette lacks 70% of all of ugly clutter our engine bays have.
I've come to terms with the point of our cars; form follows function. With something like a Corvette, its special, form is hand-in-hand with the goals of what chevy had/has for the car.
Am I wrong?

If you want it, cruise control can still be retained if you ditch the ASR. You just have to replace that cable along with the throttle cable. I haven't done this yet, but will soon. And i still have yet to see someone who has retained their ABS.

Hell I don't even have ABS anymore
