Anyone change torque arm bushing?

Anyone change torque arm bushing?

I noticed the bushing on my car looks pretty chewed up. The dealer says I have to buy the two brackets to get the new bushings. I really don't like polyurethane but may consider it. If you changed your torque arm bushing please post what you used and how you liked it. Thanks

you can use the stock clamp with an aftermarket bushing. I did, but i had to drill out the rivits that held the stock one in. Once i did that my new ES poly slid right in no problem. I noticed no differnce in noise or traction with it. Now i have a spohn tq arm.

I went with the ES poly mount due to lack of funds for the torque arm upgrade. I think it's a good piece for the few bucks it costs.

How long did it take you to swap old for new one? Can it be done in a few hrs and did you need any bolts screws or miscellaneous parts/items to replace it with the ES?

Make sure you have the right tools to do it.
I used a dremel and it took awhile but air tools and a cutoff wheel would make quick work of it.
Once you get the old bushings cut out of the clamshell its pretty simple, the only problem I ran into was trying to get the clamshell closed enough to get the bolt started, I finally clamped it with some vise grips and it went back together.
If its the first time doing it I would say 2 to 3 hours depending on how fast you can get through the rivets.
