any help at all would be good help...I have an almost complete LT1 motor sitting in my garage with no car to put it in and i want to convert the block so that i won't need to run the fuel injection...any ideas what i need to do to get this done? how do i compensate for the water pump, the opti, and so on and so on?!

You can use this intake from GMPP number 24502592 LT1 Intake Aluminum Manifold. It uses a carburetor. I don't see why you think you have to remove the water pump or the distributor though. Unfortunately you have to stay with the reverse flow water pump but you can change it to an electric unit. You could switch to a rear mounted distributor but that's a bigger hassle than it's worth.
