Anyone able to get longer studs in the back axles?
Anyone able to get longer studs in the back axles?
I'm trying to bump out my Z06 wheels with spacers but i can't get the longer studs in because they hit the axle. Anyone done this before?
Ya, I ran into the same problem. Are they Replica brand Z06 rims? That's what I put on a few months ago. They have a + 56mm offset and they should be around a + 65mm offset, at least on my 18/9.5. So I made up for it with a .312 spacer which is almost the difference. I had to buy the arp studs and put them in on all corners. The front ones were no problem, the rears were alittle more work. I had to take the brake caliper, rotor and brake bracket off.( Not hard to do at all) Find a spot by spinning the axle were you can almost fit the stud in on an angle.I think it's on the back side. You might have to grind part of the square bracket on the axle with the radius part of a die grinder. You will only have to go down about a 1/16 of an inch. Just rotate the axle to that spot for the remaining studs to put in. It's a better way than taking the rear end apart.Any questions just email me and I will try to explain it better, Good Luck....John
