anybody use HELLFIRE rings ???

I'm rebuilding my motor and will be running 150 shot. The short block I bought for the job didn't workout as I'd hoped. I'll be running .030 forged wiseco pistons. Just wondering if anybody had tried these rings.

Re: anybody use HELLFIRE rings ???

I am going to be using these rings on my 383 NA/n2o motor along with a custom set of JE pistons. If your using a poweradder like nitrous, supercharger, or turbo the hellfire file fit rings are the way to go. Pay no attention to the posts that say the rings only last 15,000 miles on a street driven car, they are FALSE. A few members have pulled their pistons after 20k of driving and they showed no sign of irregular wear on the rings, pistons, or walls....That would be your best bet, they are alittle pricey, but there is a common saying "Build it once" Call JE if your unsure, they will tell ya to go with them also as apposed to their Plasma Molly rings if your running n2o.
