anybody know of a good honest place to rebuild an A4 tranny in NE Ohio or surr. areas

I live in Boardman, OH. (right outside Youngstown). Rossler is right here in Girard, bout 30 minutes from me.

Their price is:

$1295 for street/strip rebuild (does not include hard parts if needed)
$300 for removal and replacement

then whatever torque converter I want

I was wondering if any of you knew of other places around me to take my car and have the tranny rebuilt

Thanks in advance!

I remember hearing about those Rossler tranny's....they are supposed to be pretty awesome.....They have some 4L60E drag cars that do some amazing things.....If I am thinking of the same place.

Thanks for the replies.

Guys that are running LT1Dave's transmissions: what level did you get, and what torque converter are you running??

Does he install the transmissions there? Because I'd rather have someone else do it. I don't want to risk not setting it up right

If I already have a Trans-go, what do I have to do to remove it back to stock? The tranny I bought already had it in there.

I had mine rebuilt locally for about $1,200 and it shifts so hard sometimes it chirps at WOT with 275's and it's a stock rebuild.

There is a local guy here that rebuilt my tranny for $300 and I supplied the rebuild kit. I had about $500 in my last rebuild and that was 3 years ago.

Many 1.6X 60's and 11 second passes later, still works fine.
