Any way at home to get a tire off a wheel?

Is there a way at home that I can get a tire off of a wheel? The tire is trash so I dont care if it destroys the wheel, however I dont want to pay someone to take it off really since its not a necessity.

I tried a huge screwdriver under the bead, but I couldnt get it under the tire and pry it off.

If the tire is trash.... and you dont care about destroying the wheel.... then 1.why are you trying to get it off. and 2. why dont you just toss the whole thing?

BTW. i got one off with a crow bar and some soap once.

I'd take it to a tire joint and pay the man $5.

Or get some pry bars from sears.

lol you crack me up lol you IM me to show me the link an coulda just IMd me with it lol, simple solution deflate the tire by slashing the tire wall, they use some soapy water around the lip of the rim to get it nice an lubed (hehe) then use some pruning sheers to trim the tire from the slash all the way around the wheel wall, then come in from the middle of it an just cut away the tire. pruning sheers worked the best when i did it i tried some other sharp cutting tools that worked with less success

Thats probably your best bet. Just go to a garage that you can see the guys working, offer someone 5 bucks, they will probably take it off if they dont have anything to do. Try and NTB or somewhere similar.

Get a friend, lay the tire down on the ground, run over just the tire part with a truck, getting as close to the rim as you can. Then use a crowbar to get it off the rest of the way.
