Any Suggestions?? Anyone??

OK . . i have been posting quite a bit with my problems. well i come to find out that my LT1 motor in the Camaro i have was rebuilt. .everything was replaced with GM Performance Parts. .it also has the LT1 Hotcam. .but my trouble is, before i bought it, that the dealer i bought it from "heard a miss" in the motor and had the following replaced with stock parts: MSD 72000 volt ignition system, 54 psi injectors, custom built fuel pump, platinum plugs, msd 8.8 custom plug wires, and a Performance Distributor. . Now i don't understand why the hell that happened, but since the motor was rebuilt and now there is stock BS back on it, what would cause my car to die out of nowhere and not wanna restart. could it be that the fuel pump and injectors are stock and it's vapor-locking? i don't know what to do. i will have the blueprint on the car soon. could i possibly find a legal loophole and get the dealer for selling me a lemon? because as the car sits, its really not drive-able. . anyone got any suggestions? thanks for the help

So you had stock parts put on and it died immediately? Or its been running for a while and then it died all of a sudden? How long after the parts were swapped did it die? What happens when you try to start it now? Do you hear the fuel pump priming? Get a fuel pressure gauge and take some readings.

If it was tuned for 54 psi injectors and now has stockers in it, that could be an issue.

I agree. The injectors could be a big issue if the computer is scaled for other ones. We need more info to really help you out. Why did you replace it all with factory parts? Because it was at a dealership? Answer all the questions from the first post. Then we can try to help.

If someone told you that's what they replaced, I think they were feeding you a bunch of BS.... 72000 Volt ignition???? They can upgrade the coil, and the MSD Blaster isn't a whole lot different than the stocker. .... custom built fuel pump??? Custom manufactured by whom? You can get 1000 HP off-the-shelf fuel pumps that will mount in the stock location. ..... platinum plugs????? The STOCK plugs are platinum. What did he replace them with.... AC/Delco platinums? ..... 8.8 MSD wires???? I think they are 8.5MM and they will not affect how the engine runs, compared to the stock Packard 7MM wires, in any way, shape or form. .... performance distributor???? You can get an MSD billet distributor that is not a whole lot different than the stocker, and has just as many problems.... in any case, why would you have to put it back to stock? ....54 psi injectors???? Or maybe they meant 54 #/HR injectors??? To change the fuel pressure, they would also have to change to an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. When they returned to the stock 24 #/HR injectors, did they also adjust the fuel pressure back to the stock 43.5 psi (no vacuum line)? ....LT1 hot cam???? could they possibly mean LT4 HOT cam? Rebuilt???.... or just a bunch of external parts replaced? Did they represent "rebuilt" as all new bearings, wear items, refurbished or new crank, rods and pistons?

You need to start from scratch, figuring out what the engine really has in it, so you can figure your path forward.

SUGGESTION: Add a signature with basic info about your car.... year, model, engine, trans and any KNOWN major mods.

and, gmpp doesnt make a whole lot to rebuild that motor.id make the dealer re install all the old parts and then come back and give us an update.fixing a miss is easier than the crap your being put through.start doing research, the more accurate info you can give us, the better we can help you. get it back the way it was if at all possable.another thing is if you can get a aldl cable and pull the tune with and send it to someone on here they will be able to tell you more about what has been doen to the car, like rear gear and what injectors it was realy tuned for. aldlcable.com for the cable or that akm electronics website has them for less.you need a 16 pin.good luck!

I agree with Injuneer, someone is feeding you a line of BS.

Either they did all that stuff to it but don't know what all they did.

or

They put replacement parts in it and tried telling you it had all that.
