Any One Know ????

Wondering what you all think of my prob , here is the prob . I was hauling major ars down the on ramp , when my car hit 58grand in third the fuel supply went . I continued to race the car next to me when i regained fuel " a fellow Z driver " and in 4th it was cutting out around 3grand every time , I slowed down " had no choice " when my fuel came back I raced on bye him , right after i passed him , it did it again , I was embarassed , although he probably thought i was just being arrogant . I was not , i was actually getting very mad . I couldnt run above 3grand , it cut out every time I tryed for the next few minutes . Ever had this happen ? I just did a gear swap , huge difference between gears , I was thinking maybe there is something wrong with the computer , or maybe it was false knock due to the vibrations at the speed w/my 410's . It happened around the same speed at the same RPM's " round 120 " Due to the consitancy at the same RPMs i was thniking computer prob . But I was also thinking maybe an overheated fuel pump . Any input would be helpful , thanks guys

Has the computer been reprogrammed for the gears? Don't know the specifics about your particular computer (speed limiter), but you might be hitting the speed limiter if it has not been reprogrammed.

Sounds to me that you are hitting the speed governer, due to the gear change.

Ok, but the question remains if you got the pcm reprogrammed for the gears.

Not much point in trying to diagnose this, if it has not been reprogrammed. Repost the question after reprogramming if the trouble is still there.
