any one have a high revvin lt1?
any one have a high revvin lt1?
i guess this is more curiosity than anything...
anybody have one?
i mean like destroked it to run high revving.
from what i understood, they took the 350 back in the day, and threw a 283 crank in there, and it became the high revving 302
couldnt you basically do that to the lt1 sincei ts a 350 and has anyone done it?
let me hear your comments on it if you did

I'd imagine you could, but w/ old chevy style stuff it would be easy to make up the power difference w/ a high flow intake manifold and some bigass heads. I think you'd just be losing power if you destroked an lt1
What do you call a high reving LT1? My motor on the dyno was still pulling 529 FWHP at 7400 rpm. Would it go farther?
I am sure it would but it peaked at 6900 so no since in pushing it. 7400 will be my limit at the track.

That, and I have been spending all my money on other things. Like PCM's Opti's, MAP, MAF, IAC, TPS, and the whole damn engine. It's a 9K plus bill so far.

well, look at the article on here
its about the sema show 302 that they made out of a wrecked ss
they took the 4 in bore that 327 and 350 had back in the day, and threw a 283 crank in, hence 302 ci
for the sema one, they took an ls1 and did it
i just want to know if anybody has done it

no man, i'm not asking if it's a waste of time
or that you would have to tune it to work right
i'm just wanting to know if anybody has done it, and what their comments are on it
thanks for the input though
