Any LT1 owner Look under your hood for me!
Almost finished reassembling my new motor back into my car and I need to know where 2 hoses go. My buddy tore it all apart and he's 3hours away and he doesn't remember anyway. The third line that comes off the set (3) of fuel lines thats not pressurized, I can't seem to find a place to connect this line.
Also, on the passenger side of the intake "i think its the map sensor", it's a light green plug with a red tab on it midway between the fuel injectors, one hose from this goes to the throttle body and the other one I have no idea where this goes. the plastic line is broken but it looks like it comes out about 6-7 inches and makes a 90 degree bend.
I can't wait to get this running since it has 11.96/1 compression, 306 advertised duration comp cam, fully ported and polished heads w/ferrea valves. I'm quite excited to see this run and any help would be appreciated.

The line that runs along the fuel lines is for the EVAP system, it connects the charcoal canister in the rear to the EVAP solenoid on the passenger side of the intake manifold (between the fuel injectors
)
btw, the MAP sensor is on top of the intake manifold, passenger side, right behind the TB (looks like a little black box and the harness plugs in from underneath on the side).

Sounds like the Canistor Purge solenoid on the middle passenger side of the intake. The "third" line you talk about runs under the throttle body and plugs into the solenoid. The other line from the solenoid goes to a throttle body via a 90 degree rubber elbow.

By the way NOSFED is the one that tore it all apart without remembering a damn thing about how to put it back together "I'm gonna bitch slap him next time I see him for not remembering this s*&%".
But, he put the motor together and did most of the work tearing the old one out. I suppose I could put your bitch slap on hold for a bit while I think it over.
Thanks for the help guys, sounds like the 2 hoses that are left connect to each other "who da thunk it". oops, i misread that, I thought I looked for the charcoal canister, must be on the floor somewhere. I'll get right on finishing this thing up so I can go drive around in the cold rain
Only thing is where does that line from the purge solenoid go?

Damn*&, I must not be paying attention today. I haven't taken my ADD medication yet. It appears the two hoses DO connect together from your messages and the canister is in the back of the car somewhere. Now I just need to find/fabricate an adapter to mate the tiny hose to the larger fuel hose.
Yeah, you might try attaching the open holes together....
Better check the fuel pressure before you even fire it. There's no telling where it's at now...
Let's just hope you got the timing chain on right!
