any gains from having a throttle body airfoil?
any gains from having a throttle body airfoil?
Does this thing really add 11.8 more HP and 36 more CFM? What exactly does this airfoil do? 11.8 HP from just adding this is marvelous, i thought to get 10 HP you had to spend around 1k.

I have never seen a gain from a airfoil... ever.
If it was such a bright idea youd wonder why the engineers didnt build it into the throttle body when they designed.
I'd put that $50 towards something thats actually proven to gain power.

There is a samll gain, around 1 to 2 horsepower, but every little bit helps. Just buy used.
The trick is you have to buy the right one. The Holley ($55) one really does give power. GMHTP mag got 5.8 RWHP with the Holley airfoil. Personally I tested the same unit and got 4.2 RWHP. Dyno sheets at Powerhouse, OK to back it up.
Pretty good bang for the buck if you asked me.
