Any experience with LE 21* Trickflows?

Just checking in to see if anyone has had a chance to dyno with these heads or run them at the track?

They will be topping my new build, as I have already purchased them and sent my intake to Lloyd. (Excellent customer service by the way. I even told him I had my heart set on AI for several years when I first started talking to him. His willingness to take the time to talk with me over the phone and by email along with his great reputation swayed me in his direction and I'm sure I won't regret it.)

If anyone could post some results I would appreciate it. I'm pretty excited to get my engine together as soon as they arrive.
My build looks like this.

353.3ci
Forged Eagle crank
Forged Scat rods
Forged -5cc CP Pistons, rings gapped for nitrous
LS1 lid conversion
58mm TB
42# SVO injectors
LTCC Coil Conversion
LS2 Coils
LE Fully Ported Intake
LE 21* Trickflow Heads 2.055in, 1.60ex valves 215cc Intake runners
LE Cam 237/245 .603/.611 110LSA
LS7 Lifters
1.6 Comp Pro Mags
1.75" Longtubes
Dual 3" Cutouts
Magnaflow Catback
3600-4000 Performabuilt 10.5" billet stall (shipping it back for a restall, currently undecided on how big I want to go)
Performabuilt Level 2 4L60e
3.73 gears
10 bolt for a little while until i can afford a 12 bolt
A/C Delete and EWP
Drag Radials (currently a good set of 555R's, going to MT's after the nittos are used up)
BMR Lower control arms
150-200 shot of nitrous from NOS wet kit and progressive controller.

That's a big cam and with the nitrous shot and shod with DR's your 10-bolt is in danger!

But you already knew that....

No doubt. I was just commenting on how tortured that 10-bolt will be.

I've had a rash of rear end issues lately...on my 12-bolt and the old 10-bolt....so I'm painfully aware. I have way less power than you'll end up with. Of course 6-speed cars are notoriously rough on drivelines...

I'm hoping the stalled auto keeps it alive for a little while. Ultimately shooting for 10's on motor and 9's on spray. We'll see how that goes. I'll be launching on motor until I can get that 12 bolt bought.

Have my 21deg on order as well, should arrive next week. Had the same experience with Lloyd as you. Customer service like that will get my business everytime!!

I'm keeping rotating assembly stock for now, but full LE top end and rest of the known bolt-on's, hoping for 410-440 at wheels, Lloyd thought to be realistic.

Will have it on dyno in next 2 months and will post numbers when tuned in, hope you will do the same.

Interesting no other real-world feedback yet....

He said mine should ship out next week too. It took Trick Flow a while to get the heads manufactured and shipped out. He said he is working on a set for 3 people total on the 21* heads (including you and me) and I believe he has 2 23* trickflows going as well.

I sent him my intake for his max porting as well as a custom cam grind.

I went with the upgraded intake valves on the heads (the 2.055" ones) and a custom 237/245 .603/.611 110 LSA cam.

I'm running an auto trans and I'm hoping for 450rwhp. It's going to be a stretch but I'll have every imaginable bolt on and an optimal intake and exhaust setup. Revving to 7000 should help me out too.

I should have the car on the dyno sometime in April and I can't wait! I've definitely post dyno results and track times as soon as I get them!

Sent him intake also, same head setup. Did not go as wild on the cam, need to keep below 6500rpm to hopefully keep bottom end together (54K original miles) Went with 231/239, 571/589 on 110 lsa.

Bad spending spree this past month!!
- Mcloed dual disc (ouch $$)
- Tick adjustable master cylinder
- pp damper
- comp 1.6 rr's
- TPIS 58mm
- adj fp regulator
- 42 lb racetronix injectors
- UMI torque arm and relo bracket - that rounds out all UMI components on back end
- new opti, wires, msd coil
- pcmforless tune, just mailed that out today..
- of course the big check to LE !

Put in long tubes, cai, strano springs and UMI panhard/lca's/subframe last year.

I can't wait to get this together !!! There's a new 5.0 in the neighborhood that needs a pants down spanking.

Oh ya, this all started in Dec cause I had a little exhaust leak that was pissing me off and the drivers side header was rubbing a little in one spot. Next thing I know, engine/cradle are out the bottom......since i have the engine out.....you know the rest of this story....

There aren't many 5.0's around here, but hopefully I get to put a whooping on one sooner rather than later.

I know I'm not going to break any records with my dyno numbers because I'm running at auto and not an M6, but I think it should do pretty well. The only thing I can think of that I may end up doing later this year or next year would be to add stepped headers. After that, I'll be doing some more weight reduction (k-member, tubular suspension pieces etc etc). I'd like to try to get the car down to 3300 lbs with a half tank and me in it. Not sure how close to that I am right now.

Re: Any experience with LE 21* Trickflows?

I have had a set of these bad boys sitting in my garage for a year now lol. I am building a 355 with mine, just got the block all done and am going to put the short block together tomorrow. LE is the man, I have his LE2 stuff now and got a little more power out of it last spring so i just decided to run it another year.
These heads are getting more popular it seems, not that its a bad thing because they are putting out awesome power from other guys results. Good luck keep us updated as you go.

This is my first experience with Lloyd and so far it has been a great one. He said my heads should be on their way to me by the end of next week. I can't wait to see these and compare them to my old heads.

You can't find any youtube videos of dyno runs and/or track runs with these heads. They seem to be the best available heads on the market when combined with Lloyds or AI's port work. The Lloyd and AI heads appear to be making the same flow numbers, using the same valves and having the same size runners. From what I can tell, power seems to be the same as well.

I will definitely be posting results, dyno vids as well as track times and vids as they come. Once the heads are back, I'll be bolting everything together as quickly as possible.
