Any difference between 93 and 97 heads?

a friend has ported heads off a 93 he wants to sell me...

$400 for the bare heads that have been enlarged for 2.02/1.60 valves and have minor (stage 1 equivelent) port work done.

is there any difference between 93 and 97 heads that might cause a problem?

Re: Same

They arent t he same but both are interchangable. #561 castings had better flow numbers in 96 and 97

I also belive that the '93 heads have bigger valve spring seats. Not 100% sure though.

561 castings are better stock for stock.. they flow more.. but lack in "meat".. if you plan on getting them ported i would find some non-561.. which were not found in 93's
