Any Dif performance wise???

Question Any Dif performance wise???

Im getting jet hot headers and wanted to know if I should get the emmisions or not. Are there any dif between the two besides basically being able to pass emmisions?? I need emmisions yet I do have a way around it what do you guys say?

You definitely need the pre-cat O2 sensos... the PCM won't be too happy without them, unless you set it up to run open loop all the time. In general, you will get better fuel economy, less plug fouling and better low load performance in closed loop.

As far as the AIR connections, does not affect performance one way or the other. AIR only runs for the first few minutes after you start the car, and never operates at WOT, so you won't know if it is there or not.

EGR does operate at certain part-load conditions, but never at WOT, so it has no affect at all on max performance. If you are forced to run a dyno type emissions test, the EGR might help you a little with NOx emissions. But most people just do away with it.

You will have to address the absence of the after-cat O2 sensors, the AIR and EGR in order to avoid a perpetual SES light. These diagnostics can be programmed out of the PCM.
