Any advice on getting stock manifolds off?

Header install starts in 2 days...I started soaking the bolts tonight w/PB blaster, and I can't even get to all of them w/the spray can! How the hell am I gonna do this?

Once you get the y-pipe out it isn't too bad. Pull the spark plugs too.
You will have an easy 2-3 extra millimeters to move your hands once those are out!
If it was easy, anybody could do it.

I really long breaker bar and try heating the bolt and the surronding area with a blow torch for about one minutes, be careful of the fuel line tho.

I soaked mine in PB Blaster the night before, and then again when I was ready to pull them.... It worked perfectly.

To tell you the truth, I didn't have any problems getting the bolts out. I didn't even soak them with PB Blaster. I sprayed them, and immediately got to work with a 3/8" drive ratchet and a cheater bar. They came out pretty easy. I brought the driver's side out the top, and the passenger side out the bottom. The y-pipe was another story though, I broke all 6 bolts and tore the hell out of my knuckles

Rip out y-pipe, take out spark plugs, let the wires hang, then go to town on the manifold bolts!

i'm in the process of doing this too. the drivers side was no problem. on the pass side i've still got to get the 2nd from the front bolt, and the 2 rear most bolts. also, it appears there is a tube going to the rear of the pass side intake near the last bolt. is this the EGR tube? looks like i'll have to drop the starter to get a wrench on that thing.
it also makes it a bit easier that i can stand between the engine and the radiator support i've got the AC condensor and the radiator out of there and also the front and top of the engine is apart for the cam install...much, much more room to do the headers now!
i just hope i can figure out how to get all this stuff back together!
