Unhappy Antifreeze is my new Passenger

Well, last night i started smelling antifreeze inside the car. When i turned the car off it was smoking out of the defrost vent center dash and fogging the window. I just said ***kit for the evening cuz i had to take my GF back to school (comes home for weekend) anyways, it was kinna ok for the night and this morning but in the afternoon it progressivly got worse. I was taking my friend home this evening and when he got out i looked down on the floor and its soaked. I pulled up the mat and there is prolly an inch of the green shizz in a puddle mocking me in its stinking sulfurus stench. Its prolly a fuxx0rd hose leading into the heater core (i recently had the core replaced btw) so i am going to Griffin Motors tomorrow to bitch and have them fix it and they better clean my carpet too damn them. Well, i guess the point of this was to see if i am correct on the problem of the hose. Whadda think?

Sorry for length also.

I can't imagine it being a hose since the heater core connections to the hoses are on the engine side of the firewall. I'm betting it's the heater core again.
Good luck

If your car is getting abnormally hot then you need to investigate that, because its going to keep cooking heater boxes if you dont. I lost mine more than 2 years ago and haven't fixed it yet.

im in $1500 deep of investigation with diagnostics, tows cuz it ran to hot, more coolant, new water pump an still nothing, im beyond fedup and ive been to 3 different very reliable mechanics one being a family friend an still nothing. My 2 last thoughts an options are replacing the fans and or radiator, or just get a brand new cooling system....because it will be cheaper in the long haul to do it now then keep doin this an bein out of a car every other week

Thats sucks man i've been there before with an older Trans Am. Kinda amazing that the heater core is bad on a '94. My '79 T/A leaked but hey she was old. Good luck...

Have you made sure there was no flow obstruction? Your using a geniune made for LT1 thermostat? You have checked both bleeders when warmed up for a steady stream? Coolant crossover tube in back of the head is in good shape? Fans work?

Pretty simple things that I think a mechanic should spot, but other than the obvious... its a mystery.

two years ago I couldn't figure out an overheating problem so I brought it to the dealership (figured it was a last resort). they changed the head gasket and were sold that that was the cause...however it didnt' fix it. they went through a lot of things trying to figure it out..tech support for them was convinced there was air in the system, which there was not.

turns out the radiator was bad. they replaced it and it worked great.

however, in troubleshooting they replaced my waterpump (and since that didn't fix the problem, they couldn't charge me for the part). I say change your radiator, might be your solution right there.

Im pretty sure my fans are dying, this will be my last fix before i just tear the cooling system down an install a new one in, or jus buy a newer camaro under warrenty, the mechanics had my bleeders open, replaced the H2O pump im praying its the fans

BIG, have you tried a reprogrammed fan point and 160º thermo? These cars are made to run really hot, 229/231º for the stock fan turn on points I have my fan #1 come on at I believe 180º or so, my car usually runs 179º according to Freescan. My fan #2 isn't even required to come on, never gets that hot.

I forget what my radiator cost me, its a Modine from Kragen (auto parts store) probably around $150, heater box is about the same price from Jason Cromer, $147 or something. A heater is great to have, but I haven't replaced it yet. I run around 10% coolant, and the rest is distilled water, normal water will cause buildup.
