Another vote for Magnaflow
Well, after a few problems with hanging the exhaust out of the way, I can now post and say man, the Magnaflow catback is SWEET. I got it brand new for $280 shipped from Performance Curve, a company advertising their products on ebay. I received it in two days and installed it yesterday. What a difference! The exhaust I had before was not stock, but everyone tells me it was probably worse than stock. It was a pathetic setup - muffler was too quiet, I'd get walked in the top end by other LT1's with the same mods as I had.. I'm definitely feeling (and hearing) a great reward for my money. Nice and quiet at idle or cruising, but man does she purr when you get on it. Nice and throaty - sounds like my friend's 2OTL almost. Anyway, just wanted to pop off my two cents and tell you the Magnaflow exhaust is AWESOME, and you can't beat a polished stainless steel catback for $280 shipped. That's cheaper than the hooker even. Plus, 3.5" polished stainless tips sure do look nice on the back of my Z.
EDIT: BTW, for some reason I'm now chirping tires in second and third gear. Dyno proved magnaflow gains at 14rwhp/18rwtq over stock, so I think i probably gained a bit more than that if this other setup flowed worse than stock.

Well i'm glad your happy with it but i think the sotp feel is in your head. I didn't feel anything with my borla and i think borla has to be one of the most free flowing considering if you want half of it will by pass the muffler. My friend didn't feel a gain either with his catback. If it makes you happy though then thats what matters.
