another throttle body ?

another throttle body ?

when is it time to upgrade the throttle body. i have the mods in my sig and am adding nitrous very soon. shoudl i upgrade soon or would it be pointless. i see a lot of guys with not too many uprades with bigger t/b's but i also see guys with a ton of work done with the stocker. what should i do

a lot of people are going to disagree with me, but i would say get a ported stock tb opened up to 52mm. You don't have to do any port work and it's fairly inexpensive

I say put the money towards a cam. It'll make a big difference unlike a TB.

Once you start upgrading your heads and cam, then a larger throttle body may be of some benefit. Others choose to make it one of their first bolt-on mods, much like an MSD box, and they don't see a whole lot of gains by doing so. As mentioned, if you only have bolt-ons, then it might be better money spent elsewhere.

As i too only have boltons/stockish car the 52tb was a useless mod,and i will spend money on 1.6 rockers and mail order tune and maybe headers/or stall.
