Another question on Z rated tires, how long do they last?

How long will the Goodyear eagle GS-D3 tires last milage wise? My dad said tires should normally last 40,000 miles, or do Z rated tires not last that long. Whare are some Z rated tires that will last that long, because I am 16 and cannot afford to get new tires every year.

Ive had many types of Z rated tires. It all depends on your driving.
Ive worn out sets in 10,000 miles. The most I got out of some gatorback goodyears on my 88 was about 15,000 miles

Then don't buy the wonderfully generic Avon ZZ1s the dealer put on my car before I bought it...somewhere in central OH on the way to the F body Gathering in Bowling Green last Sept., I just about hydroplaned off the road at 3 AM doing only 45!! Granted, I was driving down in the middle of whatever hurricane was hitting the area last September...

Eagle GSCs I have seen last up to 30k...but thats luck. Mine are not even 1/2 used up with 12k on them, but I'll be replacing them with 4 GSC take offs I bought from SLP later this spring. Want some ZZ1s cheap???

Hey, looks like we have the same car You got white leather? T-tops? Just curious...REAL 30th owners tend to be few and far between around here (I love people who say in their sig they have a 30th Camaro, then list it as being red or black or something....that is NOT an Anniversary Camaro )

It is going to depend completely on your driving style.

Pirelli P7000 seem to last a LONG time and I have pretty good traction even with the 315s in the rear.

GS-D3s will probably last you about 10-15,000 miles. This is totaly dependent on how you drive your car too. I got about 12,000 miles on my Toyos and they're pretty much bald now. I also spun my tires a lot when I first got the car.

Don't laugh, but I have Fulda Extremo Z-rated 17's on my Z, and I have about 15,000 miles on them - most of which are TOWING miles. They still have about 65% life in them, and they hook up great too.

Go figure - I paid $93 for each tire. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.
