Another question....

First off, I hope I posted this in a OK place....

Ok, I am getting ready to buy some headers. As my sig says, the car is a 94 Z M6 with some mods..... Here are my questions:

1. Is there any reason to go coated??? I am wondering if I need to because the coating would keep heat down in my engine compartment? Is this true and if so does it really hurt to not have the coated ones?

2. Should I go with shorties, or LT's? What is the advantage/disadvantage of the two? Shorties are cheaper, but I want to buy the right one first. I only drive the car on the street. I know I need a Y pipe also. Thanks in advance.

Coated headers will look better a lot longer (a whole lot longer). They also say they hold heat inside the header making cooler underhood temps.

Mids give a little more torque I believe, longtubes is what you want though. IMO the only reason to go mids or shorts is emissions, otherwise go longtubes.
