another opti question

as told in a previous thread my 96 383 t/a quit running. i had spark and fuel just not at the right time.i pulled the cover off my MSD opti and the rotor button came loose. Now im wondering how to know which way it should go back on cause i dont see any markings or anything and i dont want to get it 180 degrees out. any info would be greatly appreciated.

All you simply need do is put #1 at TDC and see that the rotor is pointing toward the number 1 contact inside the distributor cap.

Just happens to be close to the 6 o'clock position.
