Question Another lifter Q

Should I go with Comp Cam's 850-16 or 875-16?

I would skip the Comps and go GM LS7's.

Yeah that's what I thought about until my fiance's dealership said the LS7 lifters were over $600 for a set. I'd like to stay as close to $200 if at all possible...

Your fiance's dealership is a COMPLETE RIP OFF!!!!! NEVER, EVER, trust a regular car dealership. Everywhere has the regular ls7 lifters for $120 and the race lifter are slightly over $200. part number - 12499225 at either www.gmpartsdirect.com or Summitracing.com

WOW - My fiance's dealership smokes CRACK! I just looked up the parts # on gmpartsdirect and it's only $114.40 for a set of 16. That's crazy - $500 mark up on a set of lifters?!

Here, use these:

BTW the price that GMpartsdirect quotes is dealer cost. Be ready for the fabulous shipping and handling fees to jack that up nicely......

No, you can reuse the ones you have. I went from stock to these and had exactly the same pattern on the valve stem even though these lifters are slightly taller. I use zero lash + 1/2 turn Vs zero lash + 3/4 turn for the stockers. Of course, these settings will get lots of comments but this is what works for me.....

Yep, they sure are. Unfortunately LS7 lifters aren't special..they're the same as all LS2 and LS3 lifters and are stock replacements for LS1, LT1 and LT4 lifters. Same parts numbers....
