ANOTHER egr block off question

i'm searched and from what i found it seems that i can block off the header primary fitting on #8, and the hole that it runs to on the back of the intake manifold.

and then i can just leave the valve itself on the back of the manifold as long as it is in working condition, it'll work as a block off plate.

i bought a set of block off plates and it came with all three plates, but i can't get the valve off. i got one of the nuts off but the drivers side won't come off. so i' was just going to leave the valve on there.

will that cause any problems?
i've searched, and from what i found it seems i'll be okay. i just wanna make sure.

As long as you remove the vacuum feed so it cannot open, it will essentially be blocked off.
