another CSI pump question
another CSI pump question
have my new CSI water pump put together. i have the freeze plug put in good even used alil sealeant before pressing it into place. but it still looked like it had the potential to leak. Has anyone plugged the bottom seep hole of the water pump for good measure? to me this looks like how Opti's go bad.
Has anyone put a fuse in on the positive wire of the pump?
I'm thinking about running the positive to the red terminal box and the black ground to the ground terminal on the same fender well. this a good idea or bad?

I hooked my wires to the terminals on the fender well. And I also ran a fuse on the positive wire. You might want to look in to using a relay also I believe it is recomended. The relay acts like a switch to turn the pump on when the key is turned that way you don't need a separate switch.
I hooked my Meziere up through the included fuse to a relay. It's a little more wiring, but it works great. I have it wired to come on with the ignition. I thought the red box on the passenger side was B+ all the time. I never did check it out with a test light. Anyways, as far as the weep hole goes, just plug it up with some JB weld if it's worrying you. I pressed in my freeze plug and then smeared JB weld around the entire thing to make sure there were no leaks. Works great.
