How come you didn't get a 58mm TB and a ported intake? isn't that gonna be a little restrictive with your setup. I'm sending my heads out monday for the same package but when talking on the phone with AI, they recommended 58mm TB and ported intake for sure and im gonna be running the setup on the stock bottom end.

I already had the 52 so I just put it on, its easy enough to change, although we didn't find it to be a restriction. I just decided to run the stock intake kinda for budgetary purposes, gives me something to look forward to I guess

I am nearly ready to have my new motor dyno tuned. Every time I contacted (if I got a response) Bluecat last year he was knee deep in everything and had no time to tune my engine.

I am in Lexington and had planned to take it to Motorvation in Loiusville. The guy that does their tuning has an LT1 and appeared to know it very well. Maybe I will contact Bluecat again but it certainly would be a longer drive for me.

BTW nice numbers, I am shooting for 400 RWHP.

Im thinking of building a 383 with those heads and around that compression. Is it realistic to get 450 rwhp?

He does stay covered up, its easier to get in if you can go during the week. I'd say from the looks of you mods you'll reach that goal easily.

I would think 450 would be realistic with everything right.

What kind of price does he charge for a dyno tune?

I would just contact him, it may vary dependent upon if you dyno tune, just tune, etc.

i dont think 450 but 435, 440 is doable. There are a few guys around here with ai topends, 383 cubes that are 440rwhp.

450rwhp is doable on the stock bottom end, so 450rwhp shouldn't be a problem on a 383 with the right combination and all of the correct supporting mods.

I can't list any cars for you, but I feel with the right combination of parts and good tuning that 450 ought to be fairly easy to attain with a 383/AI combo. I don't know for sure but I think I could probably squeeze another 21 hp out of my setup
