Analyze My Track Slips

I have a 94 Z28 Convertible, A4 2.73 gears, Flowmaster 80 series muffler and K&N CAI. These runs were done on Kumho 716 HP4 (235) tires @ 27-28psi and 11,000 miles on them. I have ran my car a total of 14 times now and have had times between 14.6-14.8 and 60's between 2.2x and 2.5x. I already have plans on getting new tires, what else could I do to improve these times. I was thinking of TB Bypass, 160stat, DMH cutout, 3.73 gears, and then putting on some GS-D3 245's, in that order. Please do not comment about the Slowmaster muffler as I already have plans on getting a cutout. Thanks!
You really got smoked on that first run huh
Well, have you done a complete tune up on the car? That trap speed seems a little low to me, even for a convertable(heavier). Those tires definitely have to go. You might try running less pressure in them? Or borrowing a set of drag radials would be nice. Get some headers.

I cant really read those slips too well.......but when i ran my car a4 with 2.73's and cai only i ran a 14.4 at 99.5mph with like a 2.3 60 foot. The 273's really suck, so definately get 373's (thats what im doing first thing in the spring). Once you get 373's you definately need tires and the GS-D3's seem like a good choice.......but you may wanna go with 275's in the back if they'll fit.

is there a way to know I'm running rich without having to guess on the symptoms. Is there some sort of easy test? My gas mileage has ranged between 14-19 mpg with 2.73 gears in the A4. I figured this was alright because I drive aggressively on the street.

Get a complete tune up. (everything) Then get rid of the cat if you can. If you can't get traction now the GS D3 tires will only help so much. Drag radials are mostly going to be a must for you if you want decent 60ft times. Especially if you are going to upgrade your gears. After that a pcm4less pcm tune(100 bucs) and then a cutout would be two cost effective things. I had a rough time my first time at the track too. Go back, get some more experience. Take off the front sway bar, weight reduction, and try to have a little gas in your tank.
