My waterpump went out so I'm converting it to an EWP. While I'm down there I'm replacing the Opti, coil, wires, and plugs.
When I got the WP out of the way I am simply amazed how well this motor ran. You can't see it from the pic, but the white tip on the coil is nothing but powdery corrosion. Plus every single connection on the opti was the same way as I pulled the wires to inspect the terminals.

I'm glad I bit the bullet and had already ordered the ignition parts.

 

When you get her back together I'm sure she'll run great as compared to before. Order a W/P relay kit from Painless too, it makes the wiring so much easier.
