Exclamation Am I Making a big mistake

I know this topic has been beaten to hell but i got to ask. I really want the jet-hot long tubes, but i really dont want to be bothered always worrying about bottoming out. I also like the as&m mids. come january i will be porting and polishing the heads, what i need to know is it a freakin huge diff in power between these 2 headers with what i have in my SIG and the porting of heads in jan. please any help is appreciated.

P.S. I've been searching this subject on the boards for weeks now and I still cant make up my mind

pacesetter long tubes cheaper, and better clearance.

a long tube header is a header is a header is a header.

i havn't bottomed out yet, and i've gone over speed bumps and all kinds of stuff....

I have bottomed out a few times, but what the hell, thats the price you pay. It isnt as bad as you think. Only on huge speed bumps and just slow down for other large bumps. They sound great

Can u change to longtubes later on or would that involve changing the y-pipe too?

I would bottom out in a stock V-6 its going to happen regardless of what you do. Slow, easy, and sideways!

i just finished putting as&ms on my car and damn i love them. it's much quicker throughout the whole rpm range and so far has cut my 1/4 times down by .3 and upped my mph by 3.5 (it'll be more but now i have to relearn launching techniques....). injuneer runs them and so did baxter. on baxters car they made 50 more hp then longtubes up to 850hp......

No wimp here, its just i always have passengers in the car and I think I might be bottoming out alot, I really want the long tubes. But I'm hearing alot of good things about as&m. which headers has more power in the lower rpm range?

I've never bottomed out my Jet-Hot's. They seem to do more "bottoming-out" on my floorboard.

If you get the pacesetters, they tuck so tight, you would basically have to bottom out the crossmember to scrape them

Long tubes have more power in lower rpm range. I have never bottomed out the headers but I do scrape my mufflers a good bit that is what you get for doing true duals
