Always need alignment with new tires?

I am having some new tires put on tomorrow.

I just had a front end alignment 1 month ago due to an accident. Do I really need another one just because I am getting new tires.

The tire place putting them on strongly recommends it. What do you guys think?

Thanks.

I think they are trying to take you money, haha. You just had one a month ago. As long as your old tires wore evenly an alignment is something that you should never need unless you are in an accident, go offroading, notice uneven wear, or want to set your car up more aggressivly for racing.

The only time I get an alignment is when I notice uneven tread wear. Just keep an eye on you tires. I have an '88 Cougar that I believe I have only had an alignment on three times.

where are you going?
i just got some new ones at tire discounter (not sure if that's nationwide or just around here) but they gave a free alignment with a 4 tire purchase
now it rides straight as an arrow and a lot smoother
but with the smoother ride i feel more unconnected with what the car is really doing
o well, guess that's what happens when you go from bald to actual treads

I got some tires off tirerack.com and had them sent to this place that I have been to before. Its like a NTB, but called something else. Doubt if they will give a free alignment.

What is a typical alignment price?
