Aluminum Driveshaft

I am about to buy a used aluminum driveshaft. Does it matter if it came out of a 6-speed or Auto car? I have a 6-speed. I didn't think so, just asking to double check. Thanks....John.

It does not matter and will be just fine. I have an auto and the LS1 DS I have is from a 98 TA 6-speed.

aluminum driveshaft

It will fit either a T56 0r a 4L60E. I bought a used one too due to vibrations at high RPM's. It stoped all vibrations that I had before. Before I installed it I had a local driveline shop put new u-joints on both ends and rebalance it.

Or just swap one with a friend right before he sells his TA, worked for me.

Wasnt there a recall or something on the steel driveshafts, in some camaros due to the stocker vibrating too much, they would replace it with an alluminum one.

ill try and find the link

Not a recall, but a TSB.
