Question Alternator Noise

I have been starting to hear a sqealing noise from my alternator lately and was wondering how hard is it to rebuild an alternator. What tools do I need to change the bearings? Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions on what to do about the noise.

Unless you are familiar with alternators and rebuilding them, its better to go to your local parts store and purchase one with a life time warranty.... With ours', there is some soldering involved...

With mine it is just the bearing. Is it better to purchase a new unit or to try and fix the noise? How hard is it to change the bearing?
