Alternator Chattering

My alternator is making a noise. Sounds like the internals is slapping around inside. It gets pretty loud! It`s the original part. I think it`s time for a new one. Where can I get a good one also I want a chrome pulley and fan part too. Any suggestion??

When the front main bearing starts wo walk out of the front aluminum housing, the plastic fan scrapes on the front housing. Makes a fingernails on the chalkboard sound though. May not be what is going on with yours.

Look and see if the fan is scraping the front housing.

I think I am going to buy another one. Gives me a reason to get the chrome pulley before I install it.
