Has anyone on here used an induction method other than the traditional CAI or Ram Air? I'm talking about either just a short straight tube with the MAF coming right off the TB and a filter, all ending about where the radiator shroud is. Or, a duct that goes down in front of the radiator to a filter in front of the AC condenser? Just a thought, wonder if there were any ways to improve over the conventional methods and clean up some under the hoood.

 

how well did it work? did it give any good performance gains? and how was the sound?

fyi=I went to Lowes and got a piece of rubber 3" flex tubing from the plumbing/sewage pipe dept. Works GREAT to fill in CAI gaps....
I bought a CAI that was for a MAF 94-97 Z28 and mine is a 93 with IAT sensor.
I knew it was different CAI tube but the price was right ($20.00 used) for the CAI so I improvised. ..
