Alrighty then

I have $340 dollars.(most of which is barrowed). I need to get my car to run cool durring the emissions test. Most of you guys know the history of it overheating, so im not going to get into that. Anyway, I was thinking an ew raidator might be a great start if i can get one for around $100 dollars. Would i be able to get one of these at autozone(advance O'rileys, dont really car) Then if that doesn't fix it, i was going to go back to a stock pump. Would it be possible to do all that with the $340? Also, i wouldn't mind getting some of that stuff you put into your car to help it pass, does anyone know if that stuff works?

Edit: Just coppied and pasted from another board. History on overheating, I have an electric waterpump, and every now and than it starts to over heat, i just turn off the car then turn it back on and it stops the overheating. But everytime i take it in to get it to pass emissions, it overheats..

Edit Edit: Also, when the car over heats, the heater blows cold.

I'm not an expert, but if it's overheating and the heater is blowing cold. Have you tried replacing the heater core? That kind of makes sense, If it was blocked up your heat would be screwed up and the radiator fluid wouldn't be getting to the engine. The turning it on and off thing though, that doesn't make sense. You could always try to flush the heater core, that takes like 30 minutes tops and it's free if you have a garden hose.

EDIT- I just noticed, I think you're on FAST too. Also, my heater core was clogged and it caused my car to run somewhat warm, not overheating but warm, til it blew up.
