Almost time for the CAI...

Guys I've pretty much decided to go with the SLP setup on the clutch, seems like the best way to go...unless the mcloud drops some in price (not the street twin)...now I've gotta decide which CAI to get...Moroso, K&N, or SLP??? I was leaning towards SLP but a friend of mine told me it came with paper filters??? I heard it came with K&N filters till then...anyone know? I know where to find K&N, SLP and Moroso products, but I haven't read much about Moroso, some say they like it more than K&N, but they look indentical... Just wondered what everyone was running and why...performance wise I wouldn't expect there to be much of a difference between them...I know K&N makes a good filter, but how are the filters on the SLP and Moroso?

it doesnt really matter which one you buy, youll get the same gain from them all. just pick which ever rubs you the right way. or whatever fits your budget best. i picked K&N becuase thats what i bought.

Do they all come with the same K&N style filters? Are some easier to change/clean filters on? I'd assume they're all about the same and that means a PITA.

They are all the same except the G2 i would go with the LPE i heard it is only like 140. I originally had the K&N one before my ram air and was happy with it.

Based on dyno numbers, the K&N is better...

But so what??? The advantage is not much over the others.

I have a K&N FIPK, very happy with it, I have a friend with a Moroso, he's very happy with his, the SLP looks the BEST IMHO, don't get the G2.

LPE? Haven't heard much about the Lingenfelter unit...

Anyone else hear about the LPE CAI, or anyone out there have one???

The ram-air scoop would net you nothing on the dyno. If you're not moving there's no air being forced into the scoop.

I have the LPE cold air kit.
I think it's the same as the others, except it comes with a HUGE K&N Filtercharger cone filter, and it cost about $150.
You'll get a big Lingenfelter sticker too, so you can show 'em what you've got

If you'd like, I can take a picture of my LPE setup, but I tell you, it looks like the others.

I have the LPE. Here's a pic. I think it's the best one for 93s because they make one specifically for speed density cars that doesn't have an extra plastic piece and coupler to make up for not having a MAF. For MAF cars I'd go with the one you like the looks of best or get the best price on, whichever is more important to you.
The Home Depot jobs look too shabby to me.
