I bought new seats and modified them myself with a hacksaw and made sure the base was perfectly flat. (mine are currently in a box headed for Canada )

Here is a section view by Fred/Injueer that shows how they need to be. Fred had a friend do his on a lathe.

Giving respect to the buyer, I will say less than $400 for the set, but the fronts needed refurbishing.

Yeah, I sold everything in that pic that was in an earlier post. The fronts needed new seals and I kept putting off sending them back to get them replaced.

One reason I got the Hals in the first place was I wanted to be able to set the height of the front of my car when I lowered it. After I ended up taking them off, I found that my lowering springs and regular shocks turned out to be fine with the ride height I wanted, so I did not need them as bad. I did really like them and they gave the car a really "tight" feel. Since I don't drag my car, I did not need the adjustability of the Hals for that. I can tell you that they did make a difference cranking them up a few clicks when you wanted to carve some twisty mountain roads. I am probably going to try out a set of HD Bilstiens next.
