um.. would you like a cookie?
we've all been there - I just dumped $1500 and 2 weeks into the car and it still isn't running at 100%.. these f-bodies are pretty temperamental..

I know exactly where you are coming from, I dont have the time to list all the things that have been replaced on my 127,000 mile 95 Z28, but I love it and dont want to sell it any time soon. Right now Iam doing the hardest thing I have ever done to it, replacing the oil pan gasket..... this sucks, would rather replace clutch, or reseal intake or replace the timing covers seals anyday over this oil pan project.

Hey man, 8 years will do that to a car. When I bought mine last summer(64K mi) I did all the routine stuff right of the bat: opti, WP, intake seal fix, flush coolant system (twice, a ton of gunk in there), tranny fluid/filter, rear end oil, tranny cooler, plugs/wires, a few problematic sensors, and I think that did it. Did all this in one weekend and haven't had any of the persistent problems associated with that stuff since. You just have to catch the problems before (or right when) they arise and fix all of them at once. I put in $700 to start with and about $800 in mods since.
I'm just hoping the fuel pump and tranny problems don't haunt me anytime soon (shouldn't since I baby it 99% of the time).
Just treat her right
Yes, I called it a HER b/c at times they do get tempermental just like women do. (uh oh, i'm gonna catch hell for that one)
good luck

Ahh,but the kill ratio on the street seems to put all kinds of bad memories on the back burner(behind you)(I forget things when I blast the thing out of a hole, and think of the money your saving.)
Porsch boxter$$$$Dog meat
Bmw-bow wow
The list goes on and on.
If you bought another car,you might wish you still had this one,and the repairs would seem meaningless.(I keep telling myself this anyway.)Gotta go now,my signal lever thing just broke(Cruise control and everything).Epoxy?Hope this helps.

My car rolled over 168000 miles today, and I can't remember everything I've had to replace on it. It still runs awesome though, its just the little things. My dash is cracked and needs replaced, and my brights switch is broken, but I don't really feel like pulling apart my steering column to fix it. Its got a few parking lot dings in it, and the front breaks are going...for the FOURTH time since I bought it. But it still has 60-80psi of oil pressure, and it doesn't burn/leak any fluids. I'm hoping to go low 13's this year, with the mods in my sig, just because I wanna do it before I rebuild the motor, which should be next winter.
Oh yeah...its a daily driver too.
You gotta love it though, I paid $6500 for the car two years ago, and it'll beat lots of newer sports cars no problem.
