Re: Ai's car now at 500+rwhp & 137mph

I remember when I joined this board nearly 5 years ago the hotcam or CC306 and GTP heads was the way to go and 380rwhp or 11.99 from a H/C setup was insane. Now look. AFAIK Advanced Induction has never ported a set of heads that made less than 380rwhp. My AI "econoport" heads that flowed 255/188 @ .500 lift made 412rwhp/372rwtq and trapped up to 118mph in the 1/4 mile.

As heads porters port more and more heads they learn tricks to make more power. Eventually there might come a time when the average H/C LT1 makes 450rwhp. Advanced Induction is doing another set of heads for me right now that are going onto a hydraulic roller 355 thats going to raise a couple of eyebrows at the track. I use them because they know their stuff.

Makes me glad I went with their 180cc package they have. If you are considering AI, go for it. They spent a lot of time helping my develop my heads and cam package, on the phone, and through e-mails. I got the oppertunity to talk to not only Ron, but Phill too. Phill has a small background in mechanical enginering and pays close attention to making things exact. If you want impressive results, and to be treated with courtesy from beginning to end, AI will give you just that and more.

i can only say good things about AI myself. i just got my price est from them last night. i have been to the shop and met father and son. they are very smart and polite. they even crack a few jokes every now and then lol. he told me to price everthing on his list cause his prices were not high. i agree with him , when i priced everything as single pieces i am only paying 350. for his port work and time. i hope to god i hit the 450 rwhp mark with thier TFS heads and custom cam. they also have my intake to check it out and see if it needs any help. congrats on your new HP bench mark and your new e.t (if you read this post) A.I i before you.

Re: Ai's car now at 500+rwhp & 137mph

This thread makes me want a solid roler cam and valvetrain, kooks stepped headers and a single plain manifold. (although it looks like the manifold might not be needed )

Kinda disproves some of the conventional 'wisdom' that's been floating around here.
