Air pump removal question

I'm working on a car (not the one in sig) that had the water pump go out. With everything ripped apart, I'd like to also remove the air pump. Right now I have the air pump completely disconnected and out of the car, and I'm going to remove the metal piping as well... I just need to know where you remove the air pump hoses/pipes from the headers. Do you remove the entire piece (right where it goes into the header) or do you leave some of that stuff off and cap whatever hole is left?

Re: Air pump removal question

Take all the tubing out and put a plug in the header. I got plugs for mine at Home Depot, its a pipe fitting with a tapered thread.

Is there any particular sizing information I need to know?

You need to tell us what year car it is, and i assume it has stock manifolds correct? you say headers so i'm not really sure. The 93-95 manifolds have a diff. size thread than the 96-97.

Sorry. It's a 95 Z28 and has JBA Shorty Headers.
